Vídeo: Casal de empresários morre em acidente envolvendo seis veículos na BR-242, em Itaberaba
Um grave acidente envolvendo seis veículos deixou, ao menos, duas pessoas mortas, na BR-242, no trecho entre Itaberaba e Seabra, na Chapada Diamantina, na Bahia. De acordo com a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), o acidente aconteceu no final da manhã, no km 244 da rodovia.
A prefeitura de Itaberaba divulgou nota onde lamenta a morte das vítimas do acidente. De acordo com a nota, as vítima foram os empresários da cidade Rodrigo Matta Pires e Leia Neves. Eles eram casados e proprietários de uma pousada na cidade. Não há informação sobre o sepultamento das vítimas, nem sobre outros feridos.
Por conta do acidente, até o começo da noite, o trecho seguia totalmente interditado nos dois sentidos.

“A Prefeitura de Itaberaba lamenta profundamente o falecimento de Rodrigo Matta Pires e Leia Neves, ocorrido de forma trágica nesse sábado (15), na BR 242. Itaberaba perde dois itaberabenses, empresários na cidade, um casal muito querido por todos. Rodrigo e Leia deixam duas filhas.
Neste momento de grande tristeza, o Governo Municipal se solidariza com a dor da família e amigos, e manifesta o mais profundo sentimento de pesar pela precoce perda. Que Deus conforte o coração de todos”.
